Jesus often preached on the importance of servanthood, and before the Last Supper, He washed His disciple's feet in a final act of servitude. As seniors, we need to remember that the good work God has begun in us is never finished. There are always new opportunities to do His will and follow His examples.1 Peter 4:10Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. At Park Regency Thornton, our community of residents is just like a family. It's this environment that's responsible for our caring atmosphere. We help each other just as you would help your brothers and sisters in your biological family.

In November 2016, Colorado voted on Proposition 106, known as the "End of Life Options Act," which enables competent adults who are terminally ill to request and self-administer medication for the purpose of ending their life. Participation under the Act is voluntary for both residents and long-term care facilities, including Bethesda Senior Living Communities. Because we are a faith-based organization guided by scriptural teachings that all life is sacred and a gift from God, our organization has chosen to opt out. Attached please find our full statement on the Act and our stance, which is guided by our faith.
Our very own Mary Stewart, Health Services Director is making a notable impact on the lives of our residents, while inspiring other staff to do the same! She is one of the many Bethesda Senior Living care givers training in Teepa Snow's POSITIVE APPROACH™ - a progressive therapy for helping seniors and their families recognize and manage the early signs of memory change.
